Macaron is the New Cupcake

Seattleites love their cupcakes. We have quite a few shops entirely dedicated to creating the perfect bite of cake. However, the cupcake has had its time in the spotlight long enough.

2012 is all about the Macaron*. Although there are no macaron stores in Seattle (yet), they are being artfully made in various bakeries around the city. There is nothing better than a good macaron, and thankfully those who are making them take their craft seriously. They are also making them in fun and delicious flavors. So venture out and discover the macarons Seattle has to offer**, you will not be disappointed!

*Yes, the Macaron has its own day.

** We would suggest Honore Artisan Bakery, Cafe Besalu, or Bakery Nouveau.

Another beautiful evening at Apulent.

Pumpkin Party

To celebrate the coming of fall, Apulent had a Pumpkin Carving Party. We indulged in tasty treats whipped up by our chefs and carved away between bites.  As it turns out, we have some crafty people working here.

When it comes to tropical, crisp, south of the border flair, these weddings had it all – mix of modern and vintage touches, photo booth, old fashioned record player, whimsical details to delight.
Of course the colorful party style is reflected in the menu as well!

2010 Wedding Tasting

For our annual Wedding Tasting, our super talented planning duo, Jess Leak and Nicole Vinson, designed 10 mock tables and worked with head chef, Dimitri Kaldi, to create amazing summer menus. The tables were on display in the Sunset/South Room at the Beach Club and the Seaview/North Room featured: THE FOOD. Greeted with passed appetizers and Peach Bellinis, our clients were able to sample current menus and generally had a great time visualizing and experiencing things that they can add to their wedding
to make it extra special!
